How do I freeze Messenger?
It is possible to freeze Messenger without deleting it. You can only freeze Messenger if you previously frozen your Facebook account. To reactivate Messenger, log in with your username and password and start using it again. Messenger Freezing or Deletion To Freeze Facebook Messenger, you need to freeze your account. To also freeze Messenger after freezing your Facebook account:
- Open the Messenger app.
- In the Chats section, tap your profile picture in the upper left corner.
- Tap Legal Information and Policies, then click Freeze Messenger.
- Tap Freeze.
